The prize is awarded to a student for an outstanding essay written in a 2000- or 3000-level English course and a commitment to literature, both in the classroom and in other ways. A full nomination file includes: 1. A clean copy of the essay, 2. A copy of the assignment instructions/guidelines, and 3. An accompanying letter from a faculty member detailing the student’s commitment to literature (in the classroom and in other ways - i.e., extracurricular activities, personal/work experiences, academic plans, etc.) Only full nomination files will be considered. Decision letters will be sent in September/October 2024. Submission Deadline: Sunday, June 30, 2024
